My Costa Rican Blogs

 Im kinda sad that i didn't get to blog all of my Costa Rica trip online due to our lack of internet access throughout the trip. I create a cute little blog and everything...it consists of two posts which i copied over here cuz i'm going to delete that blog.  I can't wait to continue traveling. I really loved it over their and can't wait to see other parts of this beautiful world!

and so it begins! June 13, 2010

Packing and getting ready for this trip with finals with a challenge.  But I did it. With two different flights one landing in Mexico City and the other one in San Jose, Costa, I am finally here! I'm very tired and feeling "ehh" but I'm happy.

Before I left for the trip I had breakfast with Joanna, lunch with Roxy and Esther, saw Alison and the kids and received many calls and texts of love hah :) Natalie, Sara, Esther and Gaby sat at my house while i packed.

So now  we're sitting at our first school, Monte Verde CPI. We just finished taking our placement tests and now we're waiting to do the interview portion. Everyone is in the main area on their laptops excited about the fact that we have wireless internet.

So last night we got to the youth hostel around 1AM and me and Catalina (my roommate for that night) could not find our room. We finally found it and it was just us two in a room that had three bunk beds. We both decided to shower at night and I went first. The water was hot but then it went cold, then hot...basically it was crazy but it wasn't bad.

By the time we got to bed it was like 2:15 AM. After flying all day I was exhausted but it was hard to sleep. I kept hearing sounds like gun shots and then bugs. I was really thinking, "what did i sign up for?". I fell asleep finally but i kept waking up. We woke up and I was still exhausted and unable to eat. Its been fun.

I just skyped my family and it was really cool.


Now I'm going to look around the CPI Monte Verde Campus.

Cassie is doing her poofy hair "it's like trying to tame a lion. this things wild!"

Today we went on a zipline through the Costa Rican rain forest. It was so cool.  I wasn't scared really. The scariest part was the sky lift up to the first real zipline. There were nine in total but the first one was a little practice one. Me and Cassie got to ride in tandem for some of them. The clouds were really crazy. Right now we're getting ready to go out with some friends.
