espana

I am way too excited for Spain this summer.  I had my friend Justine design these cute little prayer cards with my picture on them. I sent out all my letters yesterday and that made me really excited.  I dropped a couple off at my old school for some teachers of mine and one of my teachers already told me she would send me a check! God is so awesome and is already providing. I cant wait to sing in Spainsh and teach the kids English and work with the elderly and just be in Europe!!

Thank you so much God for providing me with this awesome opportunity. Prepare our hearts to do your work.

Tuscon Or Bust!

I had the most wonderful spring break and it isn't even over yet!  I was smart and ordered most of my books minus my Spanish book before I left for break so I didn't have to worry. After my trip to the OC and finals were finished we all hopped in our cars to drive to Arizona with Campus Crusade, a club I've recently been getting involved in at school.

This is us at Cracker Barrel. If you haven't eaten there it is delicious. They have them basically everywhere except Cali. Its like Southern food and it has a little store attached to it. Its just good home cookin'.

They have nice rocking chairs for sale outside the store that you can relax in.

We finally made it to the church.  We stayed and served at Christ Community Church in Tuscon, AZ.
After church on Sunday we had evangelism training and then an awesome picnic at the park :)

These two girls are so funny. Jenna and Tara or Taracita as I call her.  This is at Pima University one of the community colleges.
Then we walked/prayed around U of A. This campus is huge!
 A TEAM
This is me and Amanda. I love her so much. Shes like an awesome older sister.  She went to UCSB and is on full-time staff at CPP now.
This is my new awesome friend Erika! She goes to UCSB but came along because her parents are the directors of our section of Campus Crusade. I can't wait to go visit her by the beach this spring!
Baja! This boy. He is one of the first people i knew in the club. Hes a cute fresa :)
Tristan! i love Filipinos to death and now i have a new friend.  He made us lumpia yesterday and now he is really my favorite!
Our last night was a dance party and bonfire. We had yummy food. It was held at our Muslim alliance go-to-person Magdey.
Rachel!! i love her so much. She is my soul mate and I will soon be related to her legally. haha  Look at her eyes! She is also on staff.
 Crazy dancers!
Ah. This homeschooled jungle freak is also on staff. He was born in Papua New Guinea. He braided my hair which in his culture means were getting married!

I love Rebecca. She is interning and an awesome friend. I'm glad i met all these people.

Our Drive home was so much fun. 8 hours but we played games and slept. IT was Jim and Erika, me and Gaby and Aaron and Matt. Ill post you a little video.... :)

Enjoy!

Getaway!

I have been wanting to visit my cousin in Orange County for so long and I finally got around to it.  I had a break in between my finals and since I had already studied, it worked out. We spent the first day at Laguna Beach. She did a photoshoot for her friend who is 7 months pregnant. It was so adorable. I enjoyed watching.

The best part is cruising around in her cute baby blue bug convertible.

We spent the last day shopping at the mall. I helped her do her styling project and I ended up spending around $100 but I didn't buy one article of clothing for ten weeks before so I had saved up.

This is a picture of me driving home. I had to make one stop before I got to L.A. so I was stuck in yucky traffic. I wish people rode their bikes so I could drive on the freeway faster hah.

wowza

I did not write at all in February. That is no good!  I'm more of a journaler than a blogger. sorry. well right now i'm in the last two weeks of my winter quarter then i'll be in arizona for a week. i just reminded myself to register and just finished. its official. right now me, my sis and her BF are redoing our closet. Yes, a lot has changed since I've lasted blogged.  My sister, Sara (25), just moved back into our parent's house. Their dreams (sorta) of being empty nesters is wayyy outta the question with all three of us back in the nest. Its been okay so far.  I house sat for the lovely Ranabauers the first week so I was rarely at home and I didn't sleep here so now the real test has come.  There is no room and i had to give up my desk and chair.  It kind sucks however I have 2X the amount of clothes that i had before and as you can see we are making it work. I love my sister dearly but its hard sharing a room with anyone. Its good for anyone to learn how to compromise with a partner so i guess i can say i am thankful for this opportunity. also i know that there is an end in sight. She won't live here forever. She wants to get married soon so that will take care of that problem...unless they both move in to save money..ahh . they would NEVER ha i'd pay for them to move.

I just realized that after this quarter i'm going to be a junior. A friken junior in college?!? where has the time gone? seriously? where? I can't wrap my mind around that.

One more change that may be occurring is the shift from a blue collar job to a white one. hah i'm trying to get a tutoring job.  that is where the real money is at. a family at church has already hired me to tutor their high school aged kids in Spanish which is awesome. Its just once a week but is already more money per hour than i make at my current job and its something i enjoy doing. plus no taxes :)

I'll let you know how that goes! I just hope I make the right decision when it comes to changing jobs like if this is what God really wants and if i should try to keep my old job. ahh. Lord, direct me please!

:)
